Public Awareness on Child Related Laws
After concluding our engagements in Ngabu, Chikhwawa, we wrapped up last week with a capacity-building session on child protection laws for Community-Based Child Protection Structures at T/A Kunthembwe in Blantyre District.
Participants were oriented on key legal frameworks governing child protection, with discussions focusing on child rights, forms of violence against children, prevention of child abuse, and reporting mechanisms.
The engagement forms part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote public awareness of the laws
The session was conducted in collaboration with the NGO Coalition on Child Rights, the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, and the Malawi Police Service.
