The Law Commission has commenced a process of developing its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan. In this regard, the Commission has been conducting internal consultative meetings on the development of the new plan.
Led by a consultant, the process includes engagements with both internal and external stakeholders. This week, the consultant has been engaging internal stakeholders especially officers from the Legal Services Department, Corporate Services Department, and all members of staff of the Commission to ensure the new plan aligns with its mandate.
The meetings are also providing a platform to gather stakeholder feedback and reflect on the 2020–2025 Strategic Plan, including reviewing achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
This process will help strengthen the Commission’s role in law reform and enhance its contribution to justice, good governance, and the rule of law in Malawi.
